I’m Dr. Maureen Kanana, a licensed veterinarian based in the heart of Nairobi, Kenya. I have a deep passion for content creation and have contributed to various pet publications, alongside engaging in brand influencing. Presently, I am proud to be a part of TheCatParent, where I advocate for animal health and welfare.
My Experience
Over the past decade, I’ve dedicated myself to the field of veterinary medicine, focusing particularly on small animal care. I run my practice in Kenya, where I have the privilege of treating animals and educating pet owners. My research endeavors, especially in human medicine, have allowed me to contribute valuable knowledge to the broader health community.
My Education
I hold a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree and a Master of Science in Epidemiology. My educational journey began at the University of Nairobi and continued at the Institute of Tropical Medicine and Infectious Diseases under KEMRI. These experiences have shaped my approach to veterinary practice, emphasizing evidence-based care and a commitment to lifelong learning.
